Here you’ll find some simple tips to clean the shower enclosure quickly and easily.
Cleaning the house and the bathroom is certainly an unpleasant job, so let's try to find some small tricks to make cleaning more effective.
We presume that it is better not to use chemical products (and indeed very often they are harmful), but it is possible to use simple elements, easily available in our homes.
1. First step: remove limescale residues from all surfaces
Limestone is the main responsible for the scales present in the rain-shower and on the surfaces of our bathrooms. As hard the water is more frequent and intense this phenomenon is.
To remove limescale, you can simply use vinegar or water and lemon; spread the mixture on the glass of the shower box and let it act for a while; then remove it with a soft cloth and finally rinse.
We advise against aggressive products because they can ruin the finishing of the aluminum profiles. This operation must be repeated on all surfaces of the shower box: shower tray, cracks, etc ...
Remember to use the squeegee to dry the glass of the shower enclosure.
2. Second step: cleaning the shower head
Due to the limescale, the shower head could have the "holes" clogged and thus prevent a perfect pour out of water.
Here we can offer you two solutions:
- If the shower head can be detached, soak it in hot water and vinegar for an hour and then rinse it. If any small hole is still obstructed, go over it with your finger or open it with the use of a needle.
- If the shower head is anchored to the wall, take a bag that is waterproof and large enough to hold the shower head; pour a glass of vinegar inside and tie it to the shower head. At this point, open the tap and fill it until the water completely covers the shower head; let it act for an hour and then remove the bag and let the water flow for a few minutes.
3. Third step: remove soap deposits
The plastic seals of the shower enclosure are often dirty because of the soap deposits. To eliminate them, use a lotion composed of denatured alcohol, white vinegar and hot water.
4. Fourth step: enjoy the splendor of your shower enclosure! :)
