design: Castiglia e Associati

Domino is born where space demands order and light: home bathrooms that become suites, hotel rooms that dialogue with spas, compact spaces to optimize and generous volumes to enhance. With four essential components — hinged and pivot doors, fixed panels and dividers — the project takes shape without superstructures: generous spaces, balanced privacy, visual continuity between dry and wet areas. The technique remains discreet; proportions, materials and usage habits dictate the rest.

Behind the aesthetic lightness, mechanical precision and structural stability: wide passages without flexing, water tightness, component durability. Domino is a wet area system with high-end reliability, designed for daily use and high-intensity applications (hospitality).

Glass in multiple variants (transparencies, filters, textures) and coordinated aluminium profiles: the material becomes filter, privacy, reflection; the metal draws the line. The colour palette allows Domino to harmonize with the entire interior design project.

MODULAR VERSATILITY
With four well-calibrated elements, a system is born that adapts to the project, not the other way around. The possible configurations are multiple, but the language remains unique: clear order, visual lightness, intelligent modularity.

GENEROUS OPENINGS
The pivot door with offset pivot allows for larger door dimensions while maintaining a light gesture and fluid movement. The footprint is controlled, even when the opening becomes dramatic.

EASE OF USE
The hinged door follows habits: in/out opening to accommodate flows, paths, safety.

TAILORED TO CONTEXT
When visual continuity is needed, Domino can reach the ceiling through a dedicated profile.
When, instead, lightness defines the project, the self-supporting version — up to 300 cm in height — leaves a thin air gap at the top and makes the space more contemporary.

BALANCED SPACE
Profiles and uprights define the perimeter and precisely manage real tolerances. Stability is invisible, but always perceptible.

ESSENTIAL DESIGN
Uprights with clean lines in the profiles, recessed handle integrated in the upright, transparencies that do not interrupt the gaze. Formal cleanliness is not an effect, but the consequence of well-studied technical choices.

Perceived quality comes from
invisible precision

In a system like Domino, details are not meant to amaze: they serve to optimize the experience of those who design, install and use the space every day. They are measured choices — often imperceptible — but decisive: the handle that naturally guides the hand, the profile that aligns the panels and orders the gaze, the upright that guarantees regularity and durability. They are considerations that transform a gesture into comfort, a meeting of materials into durability, a passage into safety.

  • For the architect, these details mean formal coherence and compositional freedom;
  • for the installer, controlled tolerances and certain times;
  • for those who live the space, intuitive maintenance and beauty that lasts over time.

We call them details because they work in silence, but they define the experience.

A compact system that frees the project. Few elements generate extensive configurations: transparencies, paths, defined areas. Each choice — door type, opening direction, ceiling fixing or self-supporting version — is born to respond to usage needs and dialogue with architecture, without imposing constraints.

ACCESS CHOICES

Pivot door

The offset pivot, calibrated on the door width, allows for important dimensions (100–140 cm) while maintaining fluidity and footprint control. The passage widens, the gesture remains light.

CONFIGURATIONS AND INSTALLATION

Domino Configurazione 01

Recessed zamak handle, integrated in the upright and coordinated with the profile finish, equipped with a slight front protrusion for a natural grip.

Domino Configurazione 02

Dedicated profile for ceiling fixing that completes the architectural line with continuity.

Domino Configurazione 03

Upper transom that integrates the stiffening profile in the self-supporting version, guaranteeing stability without compromise.

Domino Configurazione 04

Wall uprights and corner profiles that define the geometry with aesthetic continuity and precision during installation.
